Credit Shield Elite ("Credit Shield Elite", "we", "us", or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we use and share it, and the choices and rights you have. It applies to visitors of our website, prospective clients, and clients who use our credit-repair services (the "Services").

1. Information we collect

We collect the following categories of personal information:

Identity information: full name, date of birth, prior addresses, and the last four digits of your Social Security number (used to identify you to the credit bureaus).
Contact information: email address, phone number, and current mailing address.
Account information: username, hashed password, authentication tokens, and account preferences.
Financial and credit information: credit report data (accounts, balances, payment history, inquiries), disputed items, and correspondence with credit bureaus, creditors, and collection agencies.
Payment information: billing address and last four digits of your payment card. Full card numbers are handled directly by our payment processor (Stripe) and are not stored on our servers.
Documents you upload: government IDs, proof of address, court documents, and other supporting materials you submit to the document vault.
Usage data: pages viewed, features used, device and browser information, IP address, and approximate location derived from IP.

2. How we use your information

To deliver the Services, including drafting and sending dispute letters on your behalf.
To create and secure your account, authenticate you, and prevent fraud.
To communicate with you about your case, subscription, and service updates.
To process payments and manage your subscription.
To comply with legal obligations, including recordkeeping under the Credit Repair Organizations Act (CROA) and consumer-protection laws.
To improve the Services in aggregate, non-identifying form.

3. How we share your information

We share personal information only as described below. We do not sell your personal information.

Credit bureaus and furnishers: when you authorize us to dispute an item, we share the necessary information with Experian, Equifax, TransUnion, and/or the underlying creditor or collector.
Service providers: cloud hosting, email delivery, mailing partners (for done-for-you certified mail), analytics, and customer-support tools that process data on our behalf under written contracts.
Payment processor: Stripe, Inc., for subscription billing.
Legal and safety: to comply with subpoenas, court orders, or other legal process, and to protect our rights, users, or the public.
Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.

4. Data retention

We retain your account and case records for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may request deletion at any time — see Section 6.

5. Security

We use industry-standard administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, including encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, role-based access controls, and audit logging. No system is perfectly secure; we encourage you to use a strong, unique password and enable multi-factor authentication when available.

6. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a portable copy of your personal information, and to opt out of certain uses. California residents have additional rights under the CCPA/CPRA. To exercise a right, email support@creditshieldelite.com.

7. Children

The Services are not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

8. International users

The Services are operated from the United States. If you access them from outside the U.S., you consent to the transfer and processing of your information in the U.S.

9. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be notified via email or in-product notice.
